Investigators are searching for a 78-year-old mother who was believed to have been abducted from her rural Vermont home, MyFoxBoston.com reports.
Authorities said that Pat O'Hagan was kidnapped from her Sheffield, Vt., home sometime on Sept. 10, according to the station.
The FBI has reportedly been notified to assist in the search for the woman. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information regarding her whereabouts.
O'Hagan's son, Terry O'Hagan of Groton, Mass., issued a desperate plea Wednesday, calling on anyone with information about his mother's location to contact authorities.
"We know that someone's out there and knows," O'Hagan said. "Please come forward and help us."
