We won't abandon Afghans: Julia Gillard

http://current-news-info.blogspot.com/

JULIA Gillard has avowed Australians could linger in Afghanistan for at least a decade; vow not to leave the war-torn country to terrorists and disorder.

Into a important parliamentary discuss yesterday, the Prime Minister predict more Australian offended and "hard days in front" and warn it could take Afghans a age group to entrench their nation as a fully helpful state.

Ms Gillard champion Australia's promise with the full hold of Tony Abbott, who insists extraction was impractical and would make Australia look like a "fair-weather friend" to its allies.

Because the Greens question Australia's ongoing participation, both major party leaders made clear there was no likelihood that Australia would withdraw from the war effort.
