The new clamor over Afghan insurgents' choice to connect in "talks" with the Afghan government has obscured some rather imperative distinctions flanked by who is chatting and what the predict are for those talks.
Two of Afghanistan's most famous insurgent group, the Quetta Shura Taliban and the Haqqani relationship are both said to be contribute in these "talks."
Additional to the two groups are quite separate, with diverse objectives, ideological sentiment and partnerships with fundamental Islamic terrorists. These differences make any likely deal with the Haqqanis a chiefly dubious suggestion.
